MAA MANNEQUINS, 1992

Maa Mannequins was a Praxis happening that Rinos Stefani did in July 20, 1992 in Maa Coral Bay, Cyprus.

Maa Mannequins questions consumer society

Stefani placed 20 life-size dolls (mannequins) among the bikini-clad crowd and holiday makers. By this sarcastic and humorous praxis he questions notions of consumer society, the sun and beach tourism. He also examines nakedness, human body and beauty.

In about the same period Stefani used the doll mannequins in various shows and Praxeis  i.e. at the ancient Tombs of the Kings, Paphos (Oct. 1991), at Kyklos Gallery (1991) etc.
