Rinos Stefani made the Vollage Andaluz drawings in 2015 after his second journey in Andalusia, Spain. He made the first Vollage drawings in Spain in 1988 – 1989. He travelled from Barcelona to Santiago de Compostela and from Madrid to Andalusia. In Granada he tried to discover the Sacromonte caves and the roots of the Spanish gypsy music and culture.
Vollage are drawings which Stefani combines with collage and journey notes.
Vollage Andaluz, 2015 after a journey to Andalusia
From Barcelona Stefani travelled to Pyrenees and was impressed by the Romanesque paintings. Via Pays Basque he travelled to Santiago de Compostela, Galicia and from there to Madrid and Andalusia.
In another journey in 1992 to Cairo, Egypt, he made a series of Vollage using earth from the Pyramids and found cigarette bags.
